About Southwest Virtual:
American Virtual and Southwest Virtual are now one virtual airline. The original American VA is proud to now share their name with Southwest. Pilots now have access to hundreds of more routes and many new state of the art aircraft all of which can be downloaded on the AVA fleet page. Our mission is to unite all aviation enthusiast to one community. Southwest Virtual is the first step in that goal.

More About Our Partnership:
American Virtual was first thought up in summer of 2007 and became a reality in February of 2008. Now the American Virtual staff is taking the airline to the next level. Its not so much a “partnership” but more so one giant airline, with choice of call sign and aircraft. Southwest is a mayjor booming airline in the real world right now and that is one main reason why we chose it to support along with the famous American Airlines.

How To Join:
Joining is simple. Fill out the application on the American virtual “Join” page and select which airline you would like to fly for or select “both” if you would like to fly for both airlines. American Virtual has a rank structure which pilots must follow for a bit of incentive, Southwest does not. The main reason for this being that Southwest airlines only flies 737s.
