Flight Training

Welcome to AFT, here at AVA, we are concerned for the education of pilots, in the real world and in FSX. Maintaining realism in the servers is the groundwork for being a great real world pilot. We would like to give you the choice to use our free flight training services either as a building block for the future or as a helpful course to maintain realism when in FSX.

There are parts two AFT as it will be called from here on. The actual flight training division which is under the jurisdiction of Alexander Tock [AAL 1218] handles basic flight training, all the way to commercial and ATP for use in FSX multiplayer, we will start with the most basic of flying fundamentals all the way to IFR in a Boeing 747. We also include courses on emergency procedures, and cockpit systems, such as autopilot and several of the popular flight management systems.

There second part of AFT is the ATC division, which falls under the jurisdiction of Chris L. Rather than instruct students on how to be ATC, this section is more dedicated to communicating with ATC, filing flight plans, and exploring navigation, and other related subjects.

Whichever course you choose, it will always be a 1 on 1 training situation that will work around both the schedule of the Instructor and student. There will be no strong guidelines and the courses will be very free form, incorporating questions and exploration.

At AFT, you can also specifically pick which aircraft you wish to learn in, this is of course governed by that aircraft's systems, but most, if not all needs can be met.

Registration with AFT is simple. If you are interested in any of course, please email the appropriate instructor with the letters, “AFT” in the subject line. Also, please specify what course you are interested, what aircraft and any specifics, also what times you can work with. In addition, we ask that you please state your previous flight experience, be it real world or in FSX.

Thank you for visiting the AFT page, also keep in mind, training with AFT, while separate from Fly American Virtual will guarantee you a spot with our airline, depending on how you do in training. If you wish to simply pick up some skills, please do not hesitate, you are in no way bound to AVA.

There is no age limit concerning AFT, but please use good judgment and reasoning.
